Andrew was a prefect at Brighton Grammar School, as well as swim captain and open shot put champion.
Even when Andrew isn't at the pool training hard, he's around water. He loves swimming in the ocean, body surfing and has lived near the beach his entire life.
If Andrew didn't take up swimming as a career, he may have been playing baseball at the elite level or AFL football. He was the catcher for Sandringham Royals and represented Victoria in both baseball and AFL football as a junior.
