Following in the footsteps of both parents and her older brother, Kate has been playing hockey since the age of 4. Now a Commonwealth Games gold medalist and Olympian, as a member of the Hockeyroos, Kate cites her family as her greatest influence and support.
Proving that “girl-power” is alive and well, Kate not only mixed it with the best the boys had to offer in junior hockey, but she was also selected as the Captain of the Under 13 Boys Sydney Representative Team!
Growing up in Cronulla, Kate loves spending time at the beach and being around water. Having recently moved to Perth, home base of the Australian Institute of Sport’s Hockey program, Kate is enjoying the challenge of learning to surf.
Kate is completing her final year of a Bachelor of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education at the Australian College of Physical Education. Juggling the demands of part-time study for the past 6 years, with work in a gym and her hectic hockey schedule, Kate is looking forward to finally graduating!

Kate loves cooking, particularly making deserts. She’s been overheard attempting to convince people that she doesn’t eat all of these deserts herself, but makes them for guests who visit, “Honestly!”
